Winter activities in South Tyrol
Slopes and winter wonderland just a few minutes away.
Thanks to its central location, Chiusa/Klausen offers a large selection of wonderful winter sports areas in the immediate vicinity. Hotel Walther von der Vogelweide as a base camp for your winter vacation. Skis, snowboards, cross-country skis, tobogganing or snowshoes - everyone is guaranteed to get their money's worth here. Within a very short time you can reach well-known ski areas such as Val Gardena or Plan de Corones. There is also a daily shuttle service to the surrounding ski areas.
Enjoy the spacious indoor pool with attached wellness center in Bressanone/Brixen, just a few minutes' drive away. There is also an ice rink in Chiusa/Klausen during the winter months offering great fun.
Ski safari
No time for boredom. Each day a different ski area. The free ski shuttle takes you directly from the hotel to the nearby ski circuits: Val Gardena, Sellaronda, Seiseralm and Plose. A short journey means being first on the slopes.
Those who prefer quieter enjoyment can hike in magical winter landscapes with a guide and snowshoes.
The Villanderer Alm, just a short drive away, offers other activities such as tobogganing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking and tasty refreshment stops.

Chiusa offers a lot more. At the medieval Christmas market you can be transported to bygone times.
